Frequently used as a visual shorthand for the slang expression <a href="https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/g-o-a-t/">GOAT</a>, or the Great of All Time, often said of athletes and in particular&nbsp;the late&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant">Kobe Bryant</a>.

Facebook&rsquo;s design previously featured only a goat face.

Samsung&rsquo;s designs feature a giraffe face looking straight ahead. Facebook&rsquo;s design <a href="/facebook/2.1/giraffe/">previously</a> featured only a giraffe face, as did <a href="/microsoft/windows-10-fall-creators-update/giraffe/">Microsoft&#39;s</a>.

Giraffe Face

An elephant, the largest land animal on Earth,&nbsp;with a long trunk and, often, tusks. Generally depicted in gray in full profile on all fours facing left, with tusks and prominent ears, as an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_elephant">African</a> (vs. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_elephant">Asian</a>) elephant.

<a href="/google/android-7.0/elephant/">Google</a> and <a href="/facebook/2.0/elephant/">Facebook&rsquo;s</a> elephants were previously blue in color. Emojis from Microsoft are&nbsp;supported on PCs and tablets&nbsp;running Windows 11, Windows 10, as well as Xbox. There were also available on Windows phones prior to them being&nbsp;discontinued. These are provided by the Segoe UI Emoji font, although some applications continue to show black and white emojis from an earlier release.

Microsoft Emoji List — Emojis for Windows 11, Windows 10 and Xbox

Beginning its global rollout on 2023-10-31, the Windows11 23H2 update introduced support for <a href="https://emojipedia.org/emoji-15.0">Emoji 15.0</a>&nbsp;to the flat versions of the&nbsp;Fluent emoji design set used by the OS since its <a href="https://emojipedia.org/microsoft/windows-11-november-2021-update">November 2021</a> update.

This update also redesigned a selection of emojis within the flat Fluent set. These redesigns include many smiley emojis&nbsp;having the size and positioning of their dotted black pupils subtly modified, the&nbsp;<a href="https://emojipedia.org/folded-hands">🙏 Folded Hands</a> being shown&nbsp;isometrically, the <a href="https://emojipedia.org/alien">👽 Alien</a> changed from grey to green once again, and the previously atypical width of the vendor&#39;s four-person family emoji designs&nbsp;being revised.

Additionally, a bug appears to have swapped the designs of the various&nbsp;<a href="https://emojipedia.org/deaf-man">🧏&zwj;♂️ Deaf Man</a> and&nbsp;<a href="https://emojipedia.org/deaf-woman">🧏&zwj;♀️ Deaf Woman</a> emojis.

Windows 11 23H2

Beginning its rollout on 2022-09-20, Window 11&#39;s 22H2 update introduced support for <a href="/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a> emojis such as <a href="/melting-face/">🫠 Melting Face</a>, <a href="/saluting-face/">🫡 Saluting Face</a>, and <a href="/heart-hands/">🫶 Heart Hands</a>.

This update also revised a number of previous-released emoji designs.&nbsp;Notably, the colored heart emojis such as&nbsp;<a href="https://emojipedia.org/red-heart/">❤️ Red Heart</a> were given additional details.

Additionally, each of the hand gesutre and people emojis without a skin tone modifier were given a revised base skin tone color.

Windows 11 22H2

Beginning its rollout on 2021-11-22, Window 11&#39;s November 2021 update redesigned all of Microsoft&#39;s emojis, officially launching the <a href="https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2021/11/22/express-yourself-with-new-emoji-now-available-in-windows-11/">2D incarnation</a> of the platform&#39;s Fluent&nbsp;emoji set. The&nbsp;Fluent&nbsp;redesign was <a href="https://medium.com/microsoft-design/emotionality-at-work-398182387adc">first&nbsp;previewed</a> ahead of <a href="https://worldemojiday.com/">World Emoji Day</a> 2021.

This update was the first to support <a href="/emoji-13.1/">Emoji 13.1</a>&nbsp;recommendations such as&nbsp;<a href="/heart-on-fire/">❤️&zwj;🔥 Heart on Fire</a>&nbsp;and <a href="/face-in-clouds/">😶&zwj;🌫️ Face in Clouds</a> on Windows.

Windows 11 November 2021 Update

Microsoft Windows 11&nbsp;launched&nbsp;on 2021-10-05, and was the first version of Windows update to support&nbsp;<a href="/emoji-12.1/">Emoji 12.1</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="/emoji-13.0/">Emoji 13.0</a>. Emojis in this release are displayed in the thick outlined&nbsp;Segoe Color Emoji&nbsp;style from Windows 10, instead of the <a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/new-fluent-emoji-designs-from-microsoft/">Fluent designs</a> previewed ahead of <a href="https://worldemojiday.com/">World Emoji Day 2021</a>.

Support for <a href="/emoji-12.1/">Emoji 12.1</a>&nbsp;and <a href="/emoji-13.0/">Emoji 13.0</a>&nbsp;was initially made available via Windows 10 Insiders Builds <a href="https://twitter.com/Emojipedia/status/1337183890063187971">in December 2020</a>.

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is the major release that followed <a href="/microsoft/windows-10-creators-update/">Windows 10 Creators Update</a>.
